Why Heimlane?
Heim comes from Old Norse, the language of the Scandinavian peoples during the Viking Age. It means home, not a building, but the hearth: the safe place, the one you return to. The word has crossed centuries and borders, surviving in German, Norwegian, and Icelandic to this day.
Lane is a path, a familiar, trusted road.
